Windows 10 Mail Out Of Date

Posted : admin On 21.09.2019

I have installed the new Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System and their new Edge browser. I have no problems accessing my Xfinity email account using Firefox (ver. 39.03), or Internet Explorer (ver. 11) within Windows 10. When I try to use the Edge Browser to access Xfinity email, however, I constantly get the following message - 'Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on.'

Windows 10 Email Out Of Date Error

The problem is that the Edge Browser is set to accept all cookies and I have cleared the cookie cache. I can use the Edge Browser to access other email accounts such as Google, but not Xfinity's. I've had Dell; Microsoft and Comcast, whom are still working on importing my email from Xfinity/Comcast email to Windows 10 Outlook.

So, here's a thread on the BT forums about this problem: https://community.bt.com/t5/Email/Windows-10-Mail-Account-Settings-Out-of-Date/td-p/1607385. May 25, 2018 - Windows Mail app keeps prompting for Gmail account password frequently with the 'your gmail settings are out of date' message— According.

They've all wasted hours of my time trying to merge the two OS. My Comcast email uses POP3. Windows 10 uses IMAP. Xfinity is capable of IMAP but I can't switch from POP3 to IMAP from Windows 10. Comcast Account on Xfinity doesn't allow access to those setup settings. At least I haven't found anyone who knows how to do it.

Comcast told me to contact Microsoft. They're still working on it. I've contacted Dell, they couldn't do it and told me to contact Microsoft. Does anyone have any idea how solve this problem???

This is what I'm prompted: The IMAP email server name and/or port number you've entered contains one or more errors. Please correct and try again. I've tried imap.comcast.net. I've tried pop3.comcast.net. I've tried various ports.

I have found out very painfully several things about Outlook setup. I downloaded and installed windows 10. My video was not right. After two days of chat and phone help, I found out that most computers over three years old will crash due to their video driver. Both ASIS and E-machines told me my computer could not take windows 10.

My machine is just over three years old. Well, when I removed windows 10 it scrambled outlook.

Sorry for the long blurb. The solution for your problem is that you can't make the setup changes to an existing account. You need to click the button to add a new account. Then it will pop up with the choices you are hunting for. Once you set up the new account remove the old account.

How To Fix Windows 10 Mail Out Of Date

Can't have two identically named accounts. Hope this helps. After installing Windows 10 Comcast mail will not connect. You'll get a blue dot that spins forever.Apparently there's a problem with Windows Edge. As a temporary fix install Google Chrome and your email will work again. Microsoft is aware of the problem and is or has issued a Windows Update which should solve the problem.

What's intersting is if you call Comcast for help the customer service reps are not aware of the problem and will tell you to call Microsoft. I asked to be transferred to higher level Comcast Support and spoke to a person who was familiar with the problem and told me to install Google Chrome for Comcast Email. The lower level Comcast support reps (contractors) don't have access to the Comcast Forum. If they did they would be aware of the problem. In addition, as I mentioned above if you run a Windows Update after the Windows 10 upgrade it will install an update that fixes the compatibility issues. Our testers have confirmed this and I'm using Windows 10/Edge to check my Comcast email, personally. Bought new Dell w/ Win 10 installed have set default home to comcast but have no email!

Have even set up Firefox as secondary as Edge will not work for many things. It's nearly a useless browser not being supported yet by virtually every main company. Microsoft didn't do much planning here. TV, Net works fine for other Comcast things just not Email, at least for me. Really rather P.O. As it's my default for Gov't accts. Badly needed.

I can send stuff to them from other browsers but can't receive anything in reply. What's up Comcast? I have to go change some 15 hi priority accts. Please fix this issue!!!!!!!!! I installed Windows 10 on my HP 110 Desktop and when I tried to open my main Comcast email on the Mail app, all I get is a constant message saying, 'Your email account settings are out-of-date.' It gives me the option to 'fix' or 'dismiss'. When I click on 'fix', it asks me to enter my password, which I do.

However, all it does is say it is syncing and then 'still working on it'. It never syncs and continues to ask me to enter my email. I have two other Comcast email addresses that I use for hobby and music interactions. These two addresses work perfectly and synced without any trouble. I have no problem with my main account on Windows 8.1, only since I upgraded to Windows 10. Can someone PLEASE help me resolve this.
