Jul 13, 2016  I have been playing with Turks for more than 10 years. Turks are classified as gunpowder civilization. Trash units The only difficulty I face is the lack of advanced trash units. Lack of elite skirmishers and pikemen enforces to put more villag. Age of Empires is the critically acclaimed, award winning Real Time Strategy (RTS) game with a legacy spanning over 20 years and nearly a dozen titles in the franchise.

They're a gunpowder civ all their gunpowder units (including their jannies) benefit from their bonusses (train faster and more hp also more range on the bombard, bombard tower and cannon galleon if you research their unique tech). They have a gold mining bonus (wich is very often overlooked) and have all the blacksmith techs and all their gold costing units are average or above average (except from the mangonels and fire ships those suck). Also their light cavalry upgrades automatically (another bonus people often forget).The catch is that they are completely gold dependent (aside from their light cavalry aufc.) since they lack both the pikeman and elite skirmisher upgrades. So their no gold units are weaker, do less bonus damage against the units they are suposed to counter and I suspect them to be produced slower.The camels are for countering cavalry only (they beat fully upgraded paladin 1 on 1).

They are vunrable to archer fire and castles, towers,TC's, pikes AND ships have a massive dmg bonus against them. Make sure to buy archer armor upgrades for their jannies and handcannons cause those benefit from those (armor upgrades only, not the attack upgrades).The most common strategy is to go for imperial straight away and make use of their gunpowder units who are directly available (thx to free chemistry) and their light cavalry. Search for some 'turkish fast Imperial' guides for more info on that subject.However their gold mining bonus can help them from feudal and onward (you can go for both scout rush (bloodlines+ remaining scouts automatically upgrade into light cavalry as soon as you are in castle) and archers (gold mining bonus helps your archer production). In castle you best use knights and camels for your army (use archers to take out pikeman though).In Imperial with your gunpowder, camels, cavalier, hussars, champions and cavalry archers (all upgrades for the cavalry archers are available and in forgotten their unique tech sipahis gives them +20 hp) you shouldn't have to much trouble to compose an army that works for you.Just try to avoid ANY low gold situation because then you are usually screwed.
