If your Canon camcorder has a tape transport or mechanical problem it may display an error warning message of “Remove the Cassette” on the LCD screen. It may seem frustrating and you may be thinking that “If I could just stop the error from coming up, I could use the camcorder.” This is not always the case. The reason the video camera displays this warning error is because it detects there is a problem and is trying to protect itself as well as the tape. When your camcorder is displaying this error is not a good idea to continue to try and force the camcorder to work, you may cause additional damage or worse, destroy a valuable tape.If you are experiencing this problem, the first thing you want to do is remove the tape and reset the camcorder. Reset the camcorder by removing the battery or ac power, wait 10 seconds, reapply the battery or ac power.
